The Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology is
afiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education. It was
established in 1980 for the following goals:
Supporting researchers, inventors and innovators by financial and
non-financial assistance.
Conducting and implementing research projects.
Coordinating scientific research activities.
Discovering and nuturing the country's educational and industrial
talents.
Defining the technology needs of the country.
