Iran in European Robocup 2000

The first Robocup European Championships was held from May 29 - June 2, 2000 at the Univeristy of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Iran was represented by Sharif University of Technology in these games, and became the champions in the mid-size league. In the first round in group B, the team from Sharif beat teams from Portugal (3-1 and 4-0), Sweden (4-0), and Germany (5-0), attaining 12 points, with 4 wins, no defeats and no draws.

Sharif lost to the Dutch Team in the quarter finals, 2-0, but made it to the semi-finals where it beat Ulm-Sparrows (Germany) 6-0. This propelled the team to the finals when Sharif beat the Italian team ART 2000 1-0 to win the championship.
